The Tarot - Dreams Visualized

By coming to this site and reading beyond page one, you have tentatively moved forward on your path. Is it right for you? There is no absolute answer to that self-posed question. Paths are notorious for their lack of smoothness. Meeting the challenge of negotiating the path and learning from the experience, should bring out the best in you. No one says that you can’t get help along the way. "Guide posts" we'll call them, that offer options and choices. Discover the path sees itself as the arbiter of misunderstood guidepost lingo.

My personal journey started with Tarot cards/Dreams visualized. To the cards, I would present a problem. After thinking about it for a while I would draw three cards and read them. It was that simple. The numbers, the pictures, the words often had a way of responding to my dreams so that I clearly understood the path I was to follow. Whether the situation was negative or positive, the decision was clear and I found focus.

Imagine for example making the statement:

I want to be rich ! This is my goal in life.
Would you then say....... In order to be rich, I would have to:

  1. win a lottery
  2. marry a rich woman/ man
  3. look at what skills I have that will enable me to earn this money
  4. forget it!! That is the impossible dream.
Each person has a choice of 4 options. What would you pick? If you chose 'D' as many people would but really wanted 'B', how would you feel? Disgruntled? Cynical? Suppose that you went to the Tarot deck and asked the question and found that you picked the 10 of pentacles, the King of Pentacles and the 4 of wands. These three cards would echo what you honestly have in your mind. Suddenly the possibility doesn't seem so far fetched. Even finding a husband or wife with a lot of money would require some effort. If you picked 'C' and wondered what skills you really did have, asking the cards might reveal the World card in the major arcana, the two of wands and the six of pentacles. These cards would suggest a return to school, and perhaps looking at starting your own business.

The cards don't have to be drawn at random. Picking specific cards from the deck and using them to help you visualize your goals, through meditation, can be just as effective. There are several decks available on the market. Finding the one that offers pictures, or words that resonate with your own nature are best. A three card draw can represent anything that you wish. Past, present, future.... What to do, when to do it, how to do it.... just be clear in your mind the stage that you would like to set for your drama before you pull the cards.
