Discover the Path... at Hestia's Hearth

A Spiritual Organization in support of women who choose their own path.

Discover the path at Hestia's hearth is pleased to have been involved in the first ordination of a SHES Minister in Ontario.  The service was a simple one using cleansing water, healing oils, flowers and candles to unite all of those present.  Two ministers, one Certified Spiritual Healer and one Diplomat of Earth Stewardship were ordained with the help and support of Ingrid Naiman of the Sacred Medicine Sanctuary.

Without consulting the 365 Goddess (Patricia Telesco), we chose November 29th for the ordination day some weeks ago. Imagine our pleasure at finding out much later that in England, this very day was given to Hestia. It is called Stir up day.  The clockwise stirring of a pudding by members of the family represented a time for wishing.  At the end of a year the wish should manifest.

As guardian of the Hearth and Home Hestia's presence could be felt during our ceremony.  The warm homey cottage by the river in Dunedin was the ideal site for inducing the intimate and caring atmosphere felt during the rituals.

Later, as we shared food and laughter and warm conversation, we reflected on how wonderful life could be and how important to take these feelings out into the wider family of our neighbours and community so that we may all get a feeling of new beginings and strength in unity.

Our first ordination then was a memorable one.  We will continue to hold services every April 27, and November 29.
